On September 11, an information and awareness-raising meeting was held to enhance students’ legal literacy, foster civic responsibility, and provide a better understanding of the essence of the constitutional changes.
The meeting focused on the topic “New Constitution: Key Provisions and Public Significance.”
The speaker of the event was Mahanbet Bauyrzhan Sabituly, Chairman of the “Young Voters” Club of Almaty.
During the meeting, the key provisions of the new Constitution, its significance for society, citizens’ rights and responsibilities, as well as the importance of legal culture and civic engagement were discussed in detail.
Students had the opportunity to ask questions and exchange views on the impact of the constitutional changes on society and the lives of individual citizens.
A legally literate society is the foundation of a just and sustainable state. Understanding the Constitution, knowing one’s rights and responsibilities, and actively participating in public life are important contributions to the future of the country.
The event aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 16 — “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions,” as it promotes legal literacy, the rule of law, and greater civic responsibility among young people.
Knowing the law means knowing your rights. And a generation that knows its rights is the foundation of a responsible society.
