On December 2, 2024, the Department of Energy, together with the Institute for the Development of Electric Power and Energy Conservation, organized a guest lecture for students of OP 6B07121-Electric Power Engineering, OP 6B07188 – IT-Energy with the participation of leading experts in the field of energy conservation and energy efficiency. The speakers were:
- Abakanov Eldos, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC Institute for the Development of Electric Power Industry and Energy Conservation, who shared his experience in the field of implementing innovative solutions to improve energy efficiency and energy conservation;
- Alma Alzhanova, Deputy Director of the Department of Energy Conservation Policy Development, topic: “Energy Efficiency Development Policy”;
- Kalmenov Marat, Director of the Processing and Analysis Department, topic: “Energy saving in action: from theory to practice”;
- Maria Stepanovna, NEAH expert in Central Asia, topic: “Energy efficiency and sustainable future”.
As part of the lecture, informative and relevant reports on the topic of sustainable development, energy conservation and energy efficiency were presented. The students took the information presented with great interest, which underlines the relevance of these issues in the modern world.
The teachers noted the possibility of applying the acquired knowledge in educational and research activities, and graduate students found promising topics for their theses.
