As part of the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the Office of Inclusive Education and Mental Health organised Practical Psychology Week to strengthen psychological well-being and foster a safe and supportive university environment.

The project was initiated and led by Shabdenova Dariya Rakhimaliyevna, Head of the Office. Organisational support was provided by psychologist-consultant Qapar Nurkhan Amanzholuly.

The first two days focused on individual consultations and express training sessions designed to develop communication skills and teamwork. The activities involved 40 psychology interns from the Insight Student Scientific and Practical Association, led by Elena Vladimirovna Musikhina, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, practising psychologist, and special education specialist.

Participants discussed crisis situations, emotional burnout, fears, family difficulties, interpersonal conflicts, and other concerns with specialists. The consultations incorporated art therapy, sand therapy, metaphorical associative cards, and fairy-tale therapy.

This format helps identify psychological difficulties at an early stage, provide recommendations, and arrange further individual or group support when needed.

We thank the specialists, psychology interns, and all participants for contributing to a culture of mental health care!
