On March 5, 2026, at 11:00 AM, ALT University named after M. Tynyshpaev (Coworking Space, 1st floor, 97 Shevchenko Street) hosted a seminar titled “Prevention of Self-Destructive Behavior: Effective Strategies. Guidelines for Advisors on Responding to Crisis Situations.”
The event was organized by the Office of Inclusive Education and Mental Health.

The guest speaker was R.V. Marinets, Clinical Psychologist from City Polyclinic No.7 and the Youth Health Center “Ak-Zhol.”
During the seminar, participants received practical guidance on recognizing signs of self-destructive behavior among students and responding appropriately to crisis situations.

- crisis response strategies for academic advisors
- ways to support students and encourage professional help
Participants also engaged in case discussions and role-play exercises aimed at developing supportive communication skills when assisting students in distress.
