ALT UNIVERSITY named after M. Tynyshpaev hosted an international guest lecture delivered by Professor J. Plotkin from the Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR Berlin, Germany).
The event was attended by fourth-year students enrolled in the Electrical Power Engineering and IT-Energy educational programmes, as well as faculty members of the Department of Energy at ALT UNIVERSITY.
The lecture was entitled “Torque Ripple in PWM-VSI-fed Drives due to Parasitic Effects in the Inverter Control.” Professor Plotkin presented modern scientific approaches to studying torque ripple in inverter-fed electric drives and the influence of parasitic effects on inverter control systems.
The lecture was followed by an active discussion. Students and faculty members asked questions, exchanged views, and discussed the technical aspects of the topic, its practical applications, and its relevance to the modern electric power industry. The discussion enabled participants to deepen their professional knowledge and gain insights into research approaches used in the international academic community.
The guest lecture marked an important step towards strengthening international academic cooperation, promoting knowledge exchange, and developing professional links between higher education institutions.
The event contributed to Sustainable Development Goal 17: “Partnerships for the Goals,” which promotes international partnerships, the exchange of scientific knowledge, and enhanced cooperation in education and research.
ALT UNIVERSITY continues to promote international academic exchange, integrate modern scientific advances into the educational process, and prepare highly qualified professionals for the energy sector.
