ALT UNIVERSITY named after M. Tynyshpaev hosted a guest lecture entitled “The Current State of the Electric Power Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan: Challenges, Tasks and Development Prospects.”
The lecture was delivered by an invited professor from the Department of Energy Supply and Automation of Technological Processes at South Ural State Agrarian University (Russian Federation).
The event was attended by fourth-year students of the 6B07121 – Electrical Power Engineering educational programme at ALT UNIVERSITY, as well as an Associate Professor, master’s students and a doctoral student from the Department of Power Supply at Tashkent State Transport University (Republic of Uzbekistan).
During the lecture, participants explored key issues concerning the current state of Kazakhstan’s electric power industry. Particular attention was given to electricity generation, transmission and distribution, ensuring the reliability of power supply, improving energy efficiency, modernising electrical networks and introducing advanced technologies.
The lecture also focused on the industry’s existing challenges, prospective areas of development and the key tasks facing future electrical power engineering specialists.
The participation of representatives from three universities in Kazakhstan, Russia and Uzbekistan added significant academic value to the event. It provided an opportunity to exchange professional experience, discuss current challenges in the energy sector and strengthen inter-university relations.
The guest lecture was held in line with Sustainable Development Goal 17: “Partnerships for the Goals.” The event served as an example of international academic cooperation aimed at developing partnerships between universities, promoting knowledge exchange and expanding collaboration in higher education and research.
