On April 14, 2026, a meeting of the Student Research Committee (SRW) was held at the Institute of Transport and Construction of JSC “ALT University named after Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev.” The agenda included the analysis and evaluation of research conducted by young scholars from the Department of Transport Construction.
During the meeting, 11 scientific projects prepared by students of the following educational programs were reviewed:
- 6B07129 Bridges, tunnels and subways
- 6B07128 Railway track and track facilities
The Chairman of the Commission, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor S.S. Khassenov, emphasized the high relevance of the presented works. According to him, this year’s projects fully address the current technical challenges of the transport industry. Special attention was given to research in the field of innovative diagnostics of railway rails and increasing the durability of bridge structures.
Based on the expert evaluation, the prize-winning places were distributed as follows:
- 1st place: Kanybek A.M. (Scientific Supervisor: Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor G.T. Naimanova);
- 2nd place: Nygmetolla I. (Scientific Supervisor: Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor S.S. Khassenov);
- 3rd place: Suleimenov N.K. (Scientific Supervisor: G.S. Bikhozhayeva).
The commission members highly appreciated the theoretical foundation and practical significance of the projects, recommending the best works for publication in scientific journals and presentation at national conferences.
Such student initiatives make an important contribution to the development of Kazakhstan’s scientific, technological, and transport-logistics potential, preparing a new generation of highly qualified engineer-researchers.
