On February 10, 2026, a class was conducted for group PDM-22-1k within the course “Integrated Mechanization, Automation, and Equipment Provision in Road Construction.” The topic of the session was “Determining the Required Screen Area of a Vibrating Screen.” The class was led by instructor Kozbagarov Rustem Ashimovich. During the lesson, students explored calculation methods for key screening parameters that influence the efficiency of material separation in road construction processes. Special emphasis was placed on applying formulas to determine the optimal screen area, considering productivity, particle size distribution, and operating conditions.

This topic is closely aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 12: “Responsible Consumption and Production.” Proper selection and calculation of equipment parameters help reduce resource overuse, minimize waste, and improve energy efficiency in construction activities. Students discussed how engineering decisions in road construction can contribute to sustainability by reducing environmental impact. The session enhanced both technical competencies and awareness of sustainable engineering practices among future professionals.
