April 8, 2026 – As part of the “Month of Science” (April 1–30) event plan, a scientific and methodological seminar organized by the Department of Architectural and Construction Engineering (ACE) was held at the ALT University named after Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev.
This event is dedicated to the implementation of UN Sustainable Development Goal SDG 4: Quality Education. Quality education is not limited to the teaching process alone; it involves elevating the scientific potential of faculty and young researchers to an international level and mastering advanced research methodologies.
Event Highlights: The seminar was officially opened by the Head of the ACE Department and ALT Associate Professor, G.B. Murzalina. She emphasized that integration into the global scientific community is an essential component of modern education.
Seminar Topic: “Writing Scientific Articles, Selecting Journals, and the International Peer Review Process: Scopus and Web of Science Requirements.” Speaker: Senior Lecturer of the ACE Department, D.A. Orazbayeva.
Key Issues Discussed:
- IMRAD Standard: Structuring articles according to international requirements (Presentation materials in Kazakh are attached);
- Scimagojr Platform: Determining journal rankings (Q1–Q4) and making the right selection;
- Peer Review Process: Navigating and responding to feedback from international experts.
Participants mastered new tools for publishing research and received practical advice aimed at improving the quality of education and science within the framework of SDG 4.
