As part of the implementation of practice-oriented learning, the Director of the IECT, A.Zh. Toigozhinova, and the Head of the Department of RT, G.D. Musapirova, visited classes conducted at the branch of the “Radio Engineering and Telecommunications” department located within the “Almatytranstelecom” branch of JSC Transtelecom.
This format facilitates the effective integration of theoretical knowledge with industrial practice and the formation of professional competencies among students. The classes, which incorporate elements of dual education, are conducted by Associate Professor B.E. Mamilov of Mukhamejan Tynyshpayev ALT University. The learning process is organized directly within the production environment of the enterprise, allowing students to consolidate their theoretical knowledge through practice and familiarize themselves with real-world technological processes in the telecommunications sector.
During the session, students studied the specifics of operating telecommunications equipment, the principles of constructing fiber-optic communication lines, and issues related to ensuring the reliability and stability of network infrastructure.
The dual education format fosters professional growth, practical skill development, and the increased competitiveness of graduates in the labor market. Conducting classes at a specialized enterprise strengthens the university’s interaction with industrial partners and ensures the effective integration of education, science, and production.
This initiative makes a significant contribution to the realization of Sustainable Development Goal No. 9: “Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure,” adopted by the United Nations. Conducting dual education sessions at an industry-leading enterprise supports the development of sustainable infrastructure, strengthens the links between education and industry, and builds the innovative potential of future specialists. Training qualified personnel in telecommunications directly supports digitalization, production modernization, and technological development, aligning with the priorities of SDG 9.
