ALT University named after M. Tynyshpaev actively supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the context of areas related to transport and construction, energy and automation, ecology and life safety, integrating their principles into the educational process and scientific research. The University also develops partnerships with governmental and international organizations to implement SDG-related initiatives.

One such example is the University’s partnership with GIZ, which, in cooperation with universities, implements sustainable development projects worldwide, develops and introduces modern educational programs, conducts scientific research, and provides advanced training courses for specialists in the field of sustainable development. Such cooperation undoubtedly contributes to the integration of SDG principles into the educational process.

Within the framework of the GIZ Regional Program “Water Resources Management in Central Asia considering Climate Impact,” Associate Professor of the Department of Motor Vehicles and Life Safety, Kalybekova E.M., as part of a team of experts from the Czech Republic, Germany, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, participated in a specialized seminar held in Tashkent from April 14 to 16 this year. The seminar focused on the evaluation of a certification course on Integrated Water Resources Management under climate change conditions.

The purpose of this event is to develop advanced training modules and methodological materials for learners and trainers in integrated water resources management to meet the needs of профильных organizations in the Central Asian region.
