On April 8, 2025, an intellectual competition titled “Since I was named a human, how can I remain ignorant?” was held among students at ALT University, organized by the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines and Physical Education. The event was dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the great poet and thinker Abai Kunanbayev. The main goal of the event was to widely promote Abai’s legacy among the youth, increase interest in his works, and deepen the understanding of national spirituality. Faculty members Kanagatov M.K., Shugaeva B.S., and Kurmanbayeva L.T. actively contributed to the organization of the event. Five teams from various academic programs participated in the quiz, demonstrating their knowledge of Abai’s life and works. Participants skillfully expressed and defended their thoughts, drawing upon the poet’s profound poetry and philosophical prose. The top-performing students were awarded special prizes.
