On May 6, 2026, an official delegation from Daekyeung University, one of South Korea’s leading higher education institutions, visited the Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev ALT University. The visit marked a significant step in advancing international cooperation, academic mobility, and the exchange of expertise in modern technology and education.
The Korean delegation included Yoo Jin-sun, Chairman of the Board of Daekyeung University; Yoo Sae-yeon, Vice-Chairman of the Board; representatives of the International Department; professors from leading South Korean universities; partners of educational IT programs; and representatives from the Academy of Creative Technology.
The guests were welcomed by ALT University’s Chair of the Board – Rector, Meruert Zharmagambetova, along with Vice-Rectors, heads of institutes and departments, and representatives from the International Relations Office.
During the official meeting, both parties presented their educational capabilities and discussed prospects for joint projects, faculty and student mobility, and knowledge sharing in digital technologies, engineering, and IT education. Special emphasis was placed on developing international dual-degree programs and training specialists for the economy of the future.
Following the negotiations, ALT University and Daekyeung University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), opening new doors for students and faculty of both institutions.
Daekyeung University is a prominent South Korean institution known for its practice-oriented curriculum, innovative teaching methods, and excellence in training professionals for the technology, digital media, design, and engineering sectors.
The official ceremony was followed by an extensive campus tour of ALT University’s infrastructure. The delegation visited advanced laboratories and educational spaces, including the Network Security Lab, Robotics and Mechatronics Lab, Smart Roads, the “Smart Home” Lab, Huawei Academy ALT, Intelligent Sensing Lab, Coding Club, and the Smart Logistics center.
The foreign guests showed particular interest in the engineering laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art technology, as well as the university’s projects in digitalization, transport infrastructure, and intelligent technologies. They also visited the Automotive Engineering Lab, the Silk Road Workshop-Smart Logistics training center, and the Piloting School.
ALT University emphasized that fostering international partnerships is a key priority, aimed at creating a global educational environment and preparing a new generation of globally competitive professionals.
