On February 11, 2026, ALT University hosted a visit by Deputy Chief Engineer of the RRC PWR-К of the Institute of Nuclear Physics under the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Atomic Energy, Mr. A.K. Bekbayev.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of nuclear energy, workforce training, and the University’s participation in research projects, including initiatives related to the upcoming construction of a nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan.
Special attention was given to the following areas of potential collaboration:
- Research and development activities;
- Development of new educational programs – training students and young professionals for careers in the nuclear sector, including the introduction of specialized courses and practical modules;
- Internships and practical training – organization of student internships at the Institute of Nuclear Physics.
Mr. Bekbayev emphasized the importance of strategic partnership with the University in preparing highly qualified specialists capable of ensuring the safe and efficient development of the nuclear industry in the country.
During the meeting, the University confirmed its readiness for active cooperation with the Institute of Nuclear Physics and highlighted the importance of establishing a strong scientific and educational platform to support future projects in the nuclear sector.
