On May 27, 2025, a meeting of the commission for evaluating student projects within the “Coding Club” initiative took place.
A VR program was presented, designed to teach the assembly process of the SA-3 automatic coupler for the TE33A diesel locomotive.
The program was developed using Unreal Engine and Blender. During the implementation of the project, students completed:
- 3D modeling of locomotive components;
- Integration of the models into a virtual environment;
- Development of an instructional scenario.
Additionally, the participants showcased:
- Virtual tours of the University’s coworking space;
- A digital tour of a bread factory;
- A number of projects in the field of robotics.
The commission noted the high quality of the work, the practical value of the project, and the relevance of integrating VR technologies into engineering education.
