On October 20, 2026, a practice-oriented class was held at ALT University for students of group IS-24-2 ENG as part of the course “Robot Control Systems”, using a 6-axis educational robotic manipulator.

The lecture and practical session were conducted by Bakytzhan R. Shalabayev, Associate Professor at ALT University, Candidate of Technical Sciences.

During the session, students became familiar with the structure and operating principles of the 6-axis robotic manipulator, its main components, and control systems. Particular attention was paid to studying the robot’s movements along its degrees of freedom, programming principles, and hands-on manipulator control.

The use of a specialized educational stand designed to teach the fundamentals of robotics enabled students to reinforce their theoretical knowledge through practical activities and acquire basic skills in working with modern robotic systems.

Practical classes involving robotic equipment contribute to the development of engineering thinking, the formation of professional competencies, and the acquisition of innovative technologies in automation and robotics.

The event contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

  • SDG 4 — Quality Education: Promoting quality practice-oriented education and developing students’ professional knowledge and practical skills.
  • SDG 9 — Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure: Supporting the adoption of innovative technologies, the development of robotics, and modern engineering infrastructure.
