On September 10, 2026, a seminar-training session titled “Causes, Functions, and Forms of Suicidal Behavior: Risk Factors” took place at ALT University’s Student Residence Hall No. 1. The event was organized by the Office of Inclusive Education and Mental Health as part of UN Sustainable Development Goal 3: “Good Health and Well-being.”
The main speaker was Asem Zhenissova, Clinical Psychologist at the Youth Health Center of Polyclinic No. 7 in Almaty, accompanied by Dariya Shabdenova, Head of the Office of Inclusive Education and Mental Health.
The session was attended by first-year students residing in Student Residence Hall No. 1. During the training, students learned to recognize early signs of emotional distress, identify behavioral changes in their peers, and navigate procedures for safely seeking professional psychological support.
