On August 22, 2025, the Summer School for Advisors was held at ALT University, located at 97 Shevchenko Street, Almaty. The event was organized by ALT University in cooperation with the Department of Educational and Social Work.
As part of the program, leading psychologists from top universities in Almaty were invited to present on current topics:
- Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after G. Daukeyev– “Conflictology” (psychologist Bimanova A.I.);
- International Information Technology University– “Markers of Students’ Destructive Behavior” (psychologist Alminova D.S.);
- Satbayev University (Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K. Satpayev)– “Prevention of Professional Burnout” (psychologist Suleimenova A.M.).
From ALT University, Dariya Rakhimalievna Shabdenova, Head of the Office of Inclusive Education and Psychological Support, also took part in the event. Together with the Department of Educational and Social Work, she ensured the organization of the Summer School, moderated the program, and emphasized the importance of psychological support for students, as well as the timely identification of risks of destructive behavior.
During the Summer School, participants discussed pressing issues, with special attention given to conflictology, the prevention of professional burnout, and the timely recognition of signs of destructive student behavior. The crucial role of advisors in shaping a safe and supportive educational environment was particularly highlighted.
The event was held at a high organizational level, facilitated experience sharing between universities, and contributed to enhancing advisors’ competencies in providing psychological support to students. ALT University reaffirmed its status as a platform that brings together leading specialists in the field of educational and social work.
