On January 13, 2026, the spring semester of the 2025-2026 academic year began at the Institute of Military Affairs. Traditionally, the event began with the raising of the National Flag and the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During this semester, students at the Institute of Military Affairs will master academic disciplines of the university component, including tactical and tactical-special training, technical training, combat vehicle driving, and others. It should be noted that, in accordance with new requirements of the governing documents, students at the Institute of Military Affairs will take the military oath on the eve of the national holiday—Defender of the Fatherland Day.
