ALT University and the region’s largest energy transmission company — Alatau Zharyk Company JSC (AZhK) — have signed a memorandum of mutual cooperation. This marks the fulfillment of a long-standing goal of our department.
Why is it important?
The Department of Power Engineering aims to build strong ties between education and industry. We believe that learning must be practice-oriented, giving students access to real technologies, challenges, and the working environment in the energy and IT sectors.
Through this memorandum:
- students can undergo industrial and pre-graduation internships at AZhK
- elements of dual education will be implemented
- joint practical sessions with industry experts will be held
- new opportunities will open for students of Power Engineering and IT in Energy programs
This year, 3rd-year students of the IT in Energy program successfully completed their industrial internship at AZhK facilities
Practical sessions in the discipline “Basics and Technical Tools of Dispatch Control” were conducted on-site
The department continues its proactive work to expand cooperation with other leading companies in the energy and IT sectors.
