An organizational meeting dedicated to sending ALT University named after Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpaev students to geodetic practice was held at the Almaty Mainline Network Division. The event brought together university management, representatives of the railway industry, and faculty members who delivered motivational speeches and wished the students success in their practical training.
The participants were welcomed by Shamil Askarovich Abdreshov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of ALT University named after Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpaev. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of practical training for future specialists, noting that geodetic practice is an essential stage in students’ professional development.
A special guest of the event was Duan Kumyranovich Umarov, veteran of the railway industry and Chairman of the Council of Railway Veterans of the Almaty Region. Having devoted many years to the development of Kazakhstan’s railway transport system and the training of young professionals, he shared his experience with the students and encouraged them to approach their practice responsibly and apply their knowledge effectively.
The students were also addressed by D.T. Tukenov, Deputy Director for Social Affairs of the Almaty Mainline Network Division, N.Z. Suleeva, Director of the Institute of Transport and Construction, and T.Zh. Tulemisov, Head of the Department of Transport Construction. They highlighted the importance of practical training in strengthening theoretical knowledge and developing professional competencies.
Special attention during the meeting was given to occupational safety and labor protection issues. Students were reminded that discipline, responsibility, and adherence to safety regulations are fundamental principles of the railway profession.
A safety briefing was conducted by A. Dovay, Lead Engineer for Safety and Labor Protection of the Almaty Track Distance. She introduced the students to the key occupational safety requirements and rules of safe conduct during their practice.
At the end of the event, the students were wished a successful, safe, and productive practice, as well as valuable professional experience and new achievements.
