On July 6, 2026, as part of strategic cooperation with JSC “NC “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy,” the Student Geodetic Detachment from the Institute of Transport and Construction at the Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev ALT University—comprising 4 faculty members and 20 students—was deployed to the city of Aktau.

In alignment with JSC “NC “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy,” the participants will undertake indoor (office-based) geodetic surveying of the longitudinal profile and alignment plans across designated sections of the Mangystau region’s main railway network.

This initiative is a critical element of the engineering and geodetic support for railway infrastructure. It offers students hands-on experience working with real-world industrial materials, advanced geodetic data, and regulatory technical documentation. Participating in such projects drives the development of core professional competencies in future specialists, sharpens their spatial data processing skills, and fosters high-caliber human capital for the nation’s transport sector.

For ALT University faculty members, involvement in this project provides a valuable avenue to integrate modern industrial technologies and field expertise into the academic curriculum, while reinforcing synergy with the cornerstone Employer of Kazakhstan’s railway industry.

The Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev ALT University consistently pursues a practice-oriented model of professional training, enabling students to participate in live industrial tracks and actively contribute to the development of the rail transport infrastructure of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

We wish the Student Geodetic Detachment successful and productive operations, outstanding professional milestones, and invaluable practical outcomes!
