The University welcomed a delegation from China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC), one of the world’s leading companies in infrastructure construction, transportation engineering, and large-scale investment projects. The visit marked an important step toward strengthening collaboration between academia and industry and enhancing the preparation of future professionals.
During the visit, the delegation explored the University’s educational and research infrastructure, including specialized laboratories, modern classrooms, and research centers. Particular attention was given to practice-oriented education, the development of engineering competencies, and the integration of advanced technologies into the learning process.
During the meeting, both parties discussed opportunities for cooperation in training highly qualified professionals for the construction, transportation, and engineering sectors. Representatives of CHEC emphasized the importance of close collaboration between universities and industry in preparing graduates who possess not only strong theoretical knowledge but also practical skills required in today’s global labor market.
The partnership will provide opportunities for company experts to participate in the educational process through guest lectures, workshops, internships, and industrial training programs. In addition, the parties plan to implement joint projects aimed at developing students’ professional competencies. Cooperation with one of the world’s leading engineering and construction companies will enable students to gain exposure to international best practices in infrastructure design, construction, and project management.
As a result of the meeting, the University and China Harbour Engineering Company signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. The agreement establishes a foundation for long-term partnership focused on integrating education, research, and industry while preparing competitive specialists capable of succeeding in a global economy.
The signing of the memorandum reflects the University’s commitment to expanding cooperation with leading international companies and creating new opportunities for students’ professional growth, practical learning, and successful career development.
