As part of strengthening cooperation between higher education and industry, ALT University named after Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev welcomed a delegation from TAV Almaty International Airport, led by Mr. Turundjan Tyrpan, Head of the Training and Development Department.
During the meeting, representatives of the University and the Airport discussed key areas of cooperation aimed at improving the quality of specialist training and strengthening the connection between academic education and the demands of the modern labor market. Particular attention was paid to organizing internships and practical training opportunities for students, supporting graduate employment, and involving airport professionals in the University’s educational, scientific, and career-oriented activities.
The parties explored opportunities for implementing joint initiatives in training specialists for the transport and logistics sector, civil aviation, and related fields. Special emphasis was also placed on developing competencies in the field of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), one of the fastest-growing and most promising areas within the transportation industry.
The discussion also focused on expanding practice-oriented education, engaging students in solving real industry challenges, and organizing guest lectures, workshops, and professional training sessions led by experts from Almaty International Airport. Such cooperation will enable students to gain valuable knowledge of modern technologies and operational processes used in the aviation sector while enhancing their professional readiness.
Both parties expressed their interest in further developing cooperation and emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships between educational institutions and employers to prepare highly qualified and competitive professionals who meet current labor market needs.
