On April 30, 2026, ALT University hosted a guest lecture for undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students of the Logistics educational program. The event was organized by the Department of Transport Services and Business of the Institute of Logistics and Business.

The speaker of the meeting was Talgat Zholmukhambetovich Zhandildin, an experienced expert in the transport and logistics industry. Throughout his professional career, he progressed from working in a transport college and managing the major Almaty-1 railway station to serving in the top management of the Kyrgyz Railway.

The lecture topic was “Container Flow Management. Container Terminals and Temporary Storage Warehouses.” During the session, the Development Director of TransMentor LLP shared practical cases and current trends in the logistics industry. Special attention was given to the technologies of organizing multimodal transportation, the role of temporary storage warehouses in minimizing logistical disruptions, and the strategic importance of Kazakhstan’s transit potential within international transport corridors.

The meeting provided participants with an opportunity to gain insights into real industry practices, discuss current challenges in the sector, and explore the future development of container logistics in the context of digitalization and growing international cargo flows.

The guest lecture became an important platform for knowledge exchange between business representatives and students, while also strengthening the practice-oriented approach in the training of future transport and logistics specialists.

This event contributes to the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 “Quality Education,” SDG 8 “Decent Work and Economic Growth,” SDG 9 “Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure,” and SDG 11 “Sustainable Cities and Communities.”
