In October 2025, a delegation from ALT University, comprising Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Shamil A. Abdreshov and Director of the Technology Park Ermukhamed T. Kalmenov, paid a working visit to the People’s Republic of China, specifically to Ningbo Polytechnic University.
The visit took place within the framework of the intergovernmental program of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) and was dedicated to participation in a training course on the topic of developing cooperation among the SCO member states. During the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between ALT University and Ningbo Polytechnic University, laying the foundation for future academic and scientific-technical cooperation.
As part of an intensive educational program, the representatives of ALT University, alongside colleagues from Kazakhstan, Belarus, Turkmenistan, Armenia, and Tajikistan, studied key aspects of modern higher education and scientific-production integration:
- General information about China and its educational system.
- Effective learning models and pedagogical approaches.
- The influence of Lu Ban’s culture on the formation of modern professional values.
- Innovative models of university-entrepreneurial cooperation in the context of the integration of education and production.
- Methodologies for designing courses based on the “Chinese Language + Professional Skills” model.
- Chinese Language Crash Course.
Upon completion of the training, Shamil A. Abdreshov and Ermukhamed T. Kalmenov were awarded certificates of successful completion, endorsed by the state visas of the host party.
This trip marks a significant step in integrating ALT University into the international educational landscape and opens new prospects for implementing joint projects with leading Chinese universities.
