Today, ALT University named after Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpaev welcomed Ruslan Unaybekov, Head of Human Resources at Wabtec Corporation.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the training of highly qualified specialists for the railway and transportation industry, opportunities for students to undertake internships and industrial placements, as well as prospects for expanding cooperation between the university and the company.
Special attention was given to workforce development within the educational programs “Rolling Stock Engineering,” “Engineering Management of Wagon Systems,” and “Engineering Management of Locomotive Systems.” Representatives of the university and Wabtec Corporation explored opportunities for employer involvement in enhancing the content of academic programs in line with current industry requirements and technological developments.
The discussion also covered the modernization and continuous improvement of educational programs, the participation of company experts in guest lectures, workshops, and practice-oriented training sessions, as well as other initiatives aimed at strengthening the connection between academic education and industry needs. Such activities will enable students to gain up-to-date knowledge from leading industry professionals and develop competencies required for successful careers in the railway sector.
