On February 16, 2024, a workshop on “Splicing and Extending Optical Fibers Using a Fusion Splicer” was held in room 5308. The workshop was conducted by Senior Lecturer of the ICT Department, Nazym Shayakhmetovna Kusambayeva. The students of groups RET-20-1 and RET-20-2 participated in the workshop. Nazym Shayakhmetovna demonstrated the process of splicing and extending optical fibers, explained the basic principles of the fusion splicer, and provided practical tips on using the equipment. The students had the opportunity to practice splicing optical fibers under the guidance of the lecturer. The workshop was highly appreciated by the participants for its usefulness and practical orientation.
