On April 9, 2026, Associate Professors of ALT University, G.K. Eszhanova and G.A. Kalambayeva, organized and conducted an educational quiz titled “World of Science” for first-year students (streams: 45, 31, 310, 312) as part of the Science Month.
The main goal of the event was to foster a sustained interest in studying the Russian language as a language of science, as well as to enhance students’ cultural level through mastering scientific and professional terminology. Special attention was given to the in-depth understanding of terms actively used in various fields of knowledge, which allowed participants to gain a broader perspective on the role of the Russian language in the modern scientific space.
During the quiz, students were divided into teams and enthusiastically engaged in an intellectual competition. The participants demonstrated their knowledge, logical thinking, and teamwork skills by answering questions related to Russian scientific terminology.
The quiz enabled participants to immerse themselves more deeply in the “World of Science,” appreciate the richness and precision of Russian scientific vocabulary, and recognize its significance in professional and academic activities.
