On January 28, 2026, the ICT Department held an interactive event titled “Your Data — Your Security” as part of the “Department Day” and “Personal Data Protection Day.” The event was organized in line with the 4th Sustainable Development Goal — “Quality Education” — and focused on issues related to personal data security.
The main objectives of the event were:
• to increase students’ awareness of personal data protection, the basics of cybersecurity, and the importance of information security;
• to introduce methods of gaining access to user data (logins and passwords), such as phishing, and ways to protect against such threats;
• to develop practical skills related to the topic.
During the event, students explored the mechanisms of phishing attacks in practice using specialized software. Participants actively engaged in discussions, exchanged views on current issues, and completed practical tasks. In addition, video materials on information security were presented.
The event proved to be an effective educational initiative aimed at strengthening students’ knowledge in cybersecurity and raising awareness of personal data protection.
