On November 29, 2024, a round table was held within the walls of ALT University on the topic:“Problems of road safety in Kazakhstan.”
The event was organized in partnership with the Kazakh Research Institute of Road Safety LLP and the Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after M. Esbulatov.
The event was attended by leading experts, scientists and public figures, representatives of government bodies; Representatives of the Administrative Police Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Police Departments of Almaty, Zhetisu region, Almaty and Zhambyl regions, Representatives of NC KazAvtoZhol JSC, NCCDA and others
During the round table the following key issues were discussed:
- Analysis of the current situation with road safety in Kazakhstan, including the reasons for the high level of accidents and injuries.
- The need to improve road infrastructure, especially in regions with high traffic congestion.
- Introduction of modern technologies for monitoring and control of compliance with traffic rules.
- Improving law enforcement practice and strengthening liability for violations.
- Increasing the level of legal awareness and culture of road users through educational and information campaigns.
