On November 12, 2025, M. Tynyshpaev ALT University hosted an event featuring Ms. Alika Masimzhanova, Project Manager at the ITeachMe Public Foundation and expert of the “Every Person Matters” project.
The speaker conducted a seminar titled “Why Inclusive Education Matters” and a training session “We Are Different, But One Team”, sharing practical knowledge on inclusion principles and effective teamwork.
During the training, participants engaged in an inclusive exercise — building a tower in groups while taking on specific roles: one participant wore headphones (simulating hearing impairment), others had their hands taped (to imitate limited mobility), and some were assigned speech impairment roles. This activity helped participants experience the challenges of inclusion and understand the importance of empathy, collaboration, and support.
The event brought together students, advisors, faculty members, and deputy directors of institutes.
It was organized by Ms. Dariya Shabdenova, Head of the Office for Inclusive Education and Mental Health, and Ms. Gulnaz Dyussenbekova, Chief Specialist-Expert.
The opening remarks were delivered by Ms. Akdana Tashimbetova, Director of the Department for Educational and Social Work.
