Lalita Nurmanovna Bimagambetova, a lecturer from the Department of Automotive Transport and Life Safety, conducted a training methodical day on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for academic advisors.

During the session, participants were introduced to the concept of the SDGs and their key focus areas:

🔹 Social Goals (1–6):
ending poverty and hunger, reducing inequality, and improving health care and education quality.

🔹 Economic Goals (7–12):
ensuring access to sustainable energy, promoting economic growth, fostering innovation, and encouraging responsible consumption and production.

🔹 Environmental Goals (13–17):
taking climate action, protecting ecosystems on land and in water, and building global partnerships for sustainable development.

Lalita Nurmanovna emphasized that the SDGs are not merely declarations, but a concrete action plan, and achieving them requires active engagement from everyone.

🧭 The role of academic advisors is especially important in this process. They can become ambassadors of sustainable development within the student community—by raising awareness, engaging in initiatives, and integrating sustainability into their everyday advisory work.

📌 Outcome of the session:
Advisors expressed their commitment to applying the knowledge gained in their work with students, contributing to the development of a responsible and conscious generation.
