On November 26th at 10:30 AM, the Department of Control Automation hosted a guest lecture on “Operation and Adjustment of the Automated System of the Rolling Stock Complex (ASC PS).” The Department of Control Automation thanks our wonderful lecturer, B.S. Rakhmetova, Technical Documentation Engineer at JSC NC KTZ, for the invaluable knowledge and practical experience she shared with the students!
The lecture helped delve deeper into the operating principles and fine-tuning of modern automated systems that ensure the safety and efficiency of rail transport. The automated system of the rolling stock complex (ASC PS) is a key railway system designed to automatically monitor the technical condition of cars and locomotives while they are moving along the section. The event was aimed at developing students’ modern competencies in the digitalization of transport systems, automation of control processes, and technical operation. The lecture focused on the use of intelligent monitoring systems, digital data analysis technologies, and energy efficiency in rail transport. This lecture contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically “Quality Education,” by enhancing professional knowledge and training specialists in automation and smart transport systems. Such lectures strengthen the connection between higher education and industry, fostering engineering thinking in students, and fostering a focus on sustainable development in the transport industry. The lecture also focused on setting up and maintaining all technical components of the system to ensure high measurement accuracy and reliability, timely detection of defects, and decision-making on stopping the train to prevent accidents. The lecture was delivered at a highly professional level.
