From August 16 to 18, ALT UNIVERSITY hosted a summer school aimed at creating a platform for developing professional skills, improving the effectiveness of academic policy, and improving the qualifications of the University’s faculty and staff.
More than 130 teachers and staff of the University took part in the “Week of High Professionalism”. The summer school was actively attended by representatives of the Committee of Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a representative of Clarivate in the countries of the Central Asian region, an expert on scientometry and educational resources, a representative of the research department of Narkhoz University, and a practicing professor at Almau, founder of the Data Science Academy school, a trainer in speech technology and voice production “PUBLIC SPEAKING”,”National Scientific Center for the Development of Social Protection” Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in which a number of topical issues were raised, such as: “PUBLICATION OF ARTICLES IN INTERNATIONAL JOURNALS. BEST PRACTICES AND RECOMMENDATIONS”, “IS THIS A PREDATOR, OR HOW TO RECOGNIZE A QUESTIONABLE MAGAZINE?”, “IMPROVING THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS: IT TOOLS AND OPTIMIZING THE WORK OF TEACHERS”, “INCLUSION IN UNIVERSITIES”, “PUBLIC SPEAKING”.
This year’s Week of Excellence was unique in that it was attended by the most renowned and respected speakers, business coaches and coaching groups, who paid special attention to the formation of new pedagogical, digital and psychological skills, communication, team building, interactive games and discussions in project groups.
It is worth noting that the summer school has become an excellent springboard for the personal growth of teachers and the exchange of experience and ideas in working with students.
