On February 27, 2026, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the ALT University named after Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev and the Military Engineering Institute of Radio Electronics and Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The primary objective of the Memorandum is to establish a strategic partnership and foster long-term, effective, and mutually beneficial cooperation, as well as to facilitate information exchange and the implementation of joint initiatives.

Key areas of interaction include the establishment of joint working groups to analyze existing cooperation programs and projects, as well as to prepare proposals for their further execution. The collaboration also encompasses the organization of joint courses, seminars, and scientific-practical conferences; retraining and professional development of scientific and pedagogical personnel; faculty and researcher internships within academic and research units; and the involvement of leading scientists, lecturers, and experts in advisory and teaching activities.

During the visit, a campus tour was organized with the participation of the Chair of the Board – Rector of the University, Meruert Zharmagambetova, and the university’s senior leadership. The guests were presented with the university’s educational infrastructure, including modern classrooms, specialized laboratories, renovated campus areas, and the results of the university’s extensive modernization and rebranding efforts. The delegation was introduced to the key development pillars of ALT University, its educational programs, and initiatives in the fields of science, digitalization, and the training of high-demand engineering and technical specialists.

The meeting placed a particular emphasis on the integration of science, education, and applied research, the development of research potential, and the training of personnel for the national security system and high-tech sectors of the economy.

The signing of the Memorandum marks a significant milestone in strengthening cooperation between the civil and military education sectors, aimed at enhancing the quality of specialist training and advancing the nation’s scientific and technological potential.
