On August 25, 2023, Kazakhstan-Korea Global Smart Railway Forum was held at the Academy of Logistics and Transport (ALT).
The forum was organized jointly with ALT’s strategic partner – Korea National University of Transportation (KNUT), South Korea.
Forum participants – JSC “NC “Kazakhstan Railways”, Korea Railway Company (KORAIL), KAZLOGISTICS, Seoul Metro, Incheon Metro, Korea Railroad Research Institute (KRRI), Sejong Engineering Ltd, Almaty Metro, KNUT professors and prominent transport figures of South Korea and Kazakhstan.
This Forum has become a scientific platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience, contributing to the development of the transport industry, including the training of engineering specialists, increasing competitiveness, attracting investments, creating a modern export policy, and stimulating innovative business activities.
Also, within the framework of the Forum, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between ALT and Smart-Railway ICC (LINC 3.0) Research Center at Korea National University of Transportation. The subject of the Memorandum is creating an ecosystem of cooperation in both institutions and promoting joint research and development, innovative projects in the field of logistics and transport research both at the national and international levels, with the subsequent project commercialization.
