On May 31, 2023, flowers were laid at the monument to Mukhametzhan Tynyshpayev in front of the Academy of Logistics and Transport as a victim of political repression and the famine of 1931-1933.
The ceremony was attended by the President – Rector of the Academy Amirgaliyeva S.N., Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Zharmagambetova M.S., Vice-Rector for Corporate and Social Development Ivanov A.A., faculty, public figures, students, media representatives.
The participants honored the memory of the repressed with a minute of silence and laid flowers at the monument. The participants noted how important it is today not to forget about the tragic pages of history, to know and remember what price was paid for the freedom and independence of Kazakhstan.
The President – Rector emphasized that the study of the history of the totalitarian policy of the Soviet state in the 1920-1950s is one of the topical areas of modern historical science in Kazakhstan.
