During the period of November 16-20, 2023, the ALT delegation (President-Rector Saltanat Amirgaliyeva, Vice-Rector for Science and Cooperation Gani Balbayev and Head of the International Office Zhanna Beisakhmetova) took part in the official opening of China-Central Asia Alliance for Talent Development in Transportation Infrastructure and in the first International Forum on transport infrastructure of the Alliance. The event was taken place in Xi’an, China. The Xi’an Declaration of the Alliance was signed and adopted. The President of Chang’an University, Mr. Sha Aimin, was elected Chairman of the Alliance. The first meeting of the Alliance also took place and further development and cooperation within the Alliance was discussed.
The event was attended by more than 200 representatives of Chinese and foreign universities, research institutes, enterprises and institutions.
On September 7, 2023, in Almaty, ALT signed an Agreement on joining the Alliance with Chang’an University.
