On December 6, 2023, a meeting was held with the head of the training center of LLP “DTrade,” Yaroslav Andreevich Galitsky. During the meeting, he delivered a presentation to students on the digitalization of agriculture. The discussion focused on using agrodrones and other modern technologies to increase efficiency and cost-effectiveness in agricultural operations. In his speech, he elaborated on the advantages of agrodrones, including their ability to operate in challenging conditions (e.g., wet soil), resource savings (20-30% less chemicals, up to 90% less water), and lower operational costs compared to traditional machinery.
Knowledge about modern tools, such as agrodrones, demonstrated how manual labor can be automated, costs reduced, and productivity increased in agriculture. This can inspire students to apply such technologies in other fields. Furthermore, students learned about the role of data and analytics in managing agriculture. Practical training in using drones and software can be the first step toward acquiring professional skills applicable in related fields such as geodesy, ecology, and logistics.
Students gained valuable knowledge that will benefit their future professional development, regardless of their chosen career path.
