Students from the final years of the university recently participated in an engaging meeting organized by the City Career Center. The project manager, Tórebekov Aqarýs Erniyazúly, spoke about the “New Generation of Leaders” Olympiad. The Olympiad is aimed at developing promising specialists who are ready to replenish the city’s human resource pool. The project pursues several important goals:
• Training young leaders as a means of supporting the development of the urban economy;
• Addressing unemployment among graduates;
• Strengthening ties between educational institutions and businesses.

The meeting sparked lively interest among students, who actively asked questions about the format of the Olympiad, the selection stages, and the evaluation criteria. Many students noted that participation in such a project provides not only unique career-starting opportunities but also helps expand professional skills such as teamwork, creative thinking, and solving business problems. The promise of employment for the winners in leading companies in the city became an additional attraction, serving as a strong motivation for young people. The organizers assured that this event would become an annual tradition. In the future, they plan to attract more partners, introduce new task formats, and develop a mentoring system to support the finalists even after the project ends.

Thus, the “Leaders of the New Generation” Olympiad not only stimulates students’ professional growth but also promotes collaboration between educational institutions and the business community, creating a foundation for future progress.
