ALT UNIVERSITY NAMED AFTER MUKHAMETZHAN TYNYSHBAEV PRESIDENT-RECTOR’S GRANT
1.1 The Grant of the President-Rector-Chairman of the Board (hereinafter – the PRESIDENT-RECTOR Grant) of JSC “ALT University named after Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpaev” is established in accordance with these Regulations.
1.2 These Regulations apply to applicants of the respective admission year and are aimed at:
- implementing a system of social protection measures for various categories of University students;
- supporting applicants who did not win a state educational grant in the competition, despite high UNT results;
- providing support to graduates of M. Tynyshpaev schools.
1.3 The PRESIDENT-RECTOR Grant is a targeted amount of University budget funds allocated to cover tuition fees for the chosen educational program in the volume established by the curriculum and academic course programs. The PRESIDENT-RECTOR Grant does not cover expenses for additional and repeated courses, nor for bridging differences in academic disciplines. The duration of the PRESIDENT-RECTOR Grant is 1 year, except for clauses 2.4, 2.6, 2.7, and 2.9 (based on memoranda).
1.4 Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who have Unified National Testing (hereinafter – UNT) certificates, who did not win a state educational grant but achieved high UNT results of at least 50 points, may apply for the PRESIDENT-RECTOR Grant.
1.5 In the event of a transfer to another educational institution or expulsion from the University for various reasons, the University reserves the right, in accordance with the inflation index, to withdraw expenses from holders of the PRESIDENT-RECTOR Grant.
1.6 The total allocation of the PRESIDENT-RECTOR Grant is distributed as follows:
- support for applicants from socially vulnerable groups – 4 grants;
- support for applicants who did not win a state grant but scored at least 90 points in UNT – 3 grants;
- support for applicants who chose 4 Educational Program Groups (EPGs) of the University in physics-mathematics profile subjects, scored at least 50 points in UNT, but did not win a state grant – the number of grants is determined on a case-by-case basis according to the Admissions Committee protocol;
- within partnerships between JSC “ALT University named after Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpaev” and educational centers that signed memoranda – 59 grants;
- winners of Republican subject Olympiads;
- based on the results of subject Olympiads organized by ALT University – 20 grants;
- holders of the “Altyn Belgi” badge of distinction;

Graduates of schools named after M. Tynyshpaev:
- located in Kargaly village, Sarkand district, Zhetysu region – 1 grant;
- located in Ekpindi (Kyzyl Kopir) village, Arys city, Turkestan region – 1 grant;
- citizens who have completed compulsory military service.
