Educational and character-building work with students is an integral part of the educational process organized at “ALT University named after M. Tynyshpaev”. An important component of this work is the development of professional and psychological qualities of future specialists. Special attention is given to mastering the professional engineering traditions inherent in the national engineering and scientific school. The education of future specialists aims to develop civic and legal awareness, patriotic qualities, spiritual, moral, cultural and aesthetic values, to expand students’ intellectual potential, promote healthy lifestyles, increase social activity and initiative, and encourage participation in socially beneficial work and volunteer projects. In addition, the character-building process is guided by Abai Kunanbay’s “Holistic Human” (Tolyk Adam) concept, which emphasizes the harmony of spiritual maturity, intellect, willpower, purity of intentions, diligence and morality. The organization of this work is carried out by the Department of Educational and Social Affairs.

The goal of educational and character-forming activities is to create conditions for developing students as individuals who possess spiritual richness, are ready for self-determination, and capable of creativity and independence in various fields. In this process, special attention is paid to creating an environment that supports the comprehensive development of students in accordance with the “Holistic Human (Tolyk adam)” model, which promotes moral principles, rational thinking, and continuous self-development. Daily student support is provided by advisor-curators, deputy directors for educational work, and institute directors. In student residences, character-building work is organized by deputy directors for educational work and student councils.

The foundation of the University’s educational work is based on the fundamental principles of modern higher education. One of the most important priorities is the preparation of spiritually and intellectually developed, creative, socially responsible professionals and citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Within this process, the “Holistic Human (Tolyk adam)” concept serves as a fundamental framework for fostering the spiritual and moral maturity of young people.

The Department of Educational and Social Affairs is a structural unit of “ALT University named after M. Tynyshpaev”. In its activities, it is guided by the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Law “On Education”, other regulatory legal acts, the University Charter, local regulations, decisions of the Academic Council, and the directives and orders of the Chair of the Board — Rector, which are mandatory for execution.

• promoting the ideals of the “Holistic Human (Tolyk adam)” by cultivating intelligence, willpower, compassion, honesty, diligence, morality, and continuous self-improvement.
