History of the department

The Department “Motor vehicles and life Safety” (MV and LS) was established by the order of the President-Rector of ALT dated 01.06.2021 on the basis of the departments “Cars, road equipment and standardization” and “Life Safety and Ecology”. The department is designed to train bachelors, undergraduates and doctoral students in the educational programs 6B07118 “Track and road machines ” and 6B07119 “Cars and automotive industry”. The department is headed by B.T. Shingisov.

The basis of the “MV” cycle of the department of ” MV and LS ” was the department of “Cars, road Equipment and standardization”, created in 2008 by combining the departments of “Lifting, Construction and Road Machines” (LC and RM) and “Automotive Engineering and technical operation of cars” (AT).  The head of the department was then Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor M.S. Kulgildinov.

And the basis of the cycle “LS” of the department ” MV and LS ” was the department “Life Safety and Ecology”, organized in 2002 by combining the departments “Occupational Safety” (OS) and “Life Safety” (LS). The department was headed in different years by V.V. Tselikov, H.N. Gabdeev, R.A. Mirzadinov, M.D. Salzman, A.A. Meldeshev, G.S. Musaeva.

The Department of “ATS and BZHD” is organized for the purpose of conducting training sessions in the disciplines of the above-mentioned specialties, as well as special disciplines of other faculties. The work of the department is aimed at training specialists with deep theoretical and practical knowledge, skills and abilities, high professional qualifications, in accordance with the state general education standards of professional higher education.

During the existence of the department “Cars, Road equipment and standardization”, Doctors of Technical Sciences, professors Kabashev R.A., Taukelev R.N., Akchurin A.G., Belgibaev B.A., Li S.V., Baubekov E.E., Ph.D., Professors Bibanov J.R., Dzhailaubekov E.A., Ph.D. worked at it.associate professors Akhmetov M.F., Kozbagarov R.A., Naimanova G.T., Taran M.V., Kekilbaev A.M., Toylybaev A.E., Churkina O.I., Kozhabekov Zh.T., Zhusupov K.A., Esengaliev M.N., Kopenov B.T., Uskembayeva B.O., Kaimova G.T., Musin K.S., teachers Sueubaev Zh.S., Izimbergenova Sh.I., Muzdybekova S.T.

And during the existence of the Department “Life Safety and Ecology”, professors Akbasova A.D., Kaspakbayev K.S., Tselikov V.V., Salzman M.D., Utepov E.B., Bazanova I.A., associate professors Tulendiev T.T., Zilberberg Ya.I., Kravchenko V.N., Aitkazin M.A., Tsygankov S.G. worked at it. senior teachers Shevchuk I.A.

The number of teachers with academic degrees and titles at the department of “ATS and BDZ” is 79%. The department employs 1 doctor, 2 PhD, 12 candidates of technical sciences. The share of teachers with basic education is 100%, the average age of teaching staff with academic degrees and titles is 50 years.

Over the past three years, 10 teachers have completed advanced training with a certificate. The results of the internship are implemented in the educational process. All teachers have a basic education, 95% of full-time teachers conduct classes in the state language.

The teachers of the department have published numerous articles, methodological guidelines, textbooks that are used during classes and when performing sections of the diploma project. The department has a solid laboratory base. The total area of educational laboratories and offices occupied by the department is 620 m².  The department has 1 accredited research laboratory “Environmental safety and assessment of working conditions”, 1 specialized lecture halls equipped with multimedia equipment, 6 laboratories and specialized classrooms (equipped with multimedia equipment). The laboratories of the department are equipped with the necessary laboratory facilities that allow conducting laboratory work in all disciplines.

The department has all the necessary guidance documents on safety, labor protection and ecology (instructions, rules, Regulations, etc.) teachers and students of the department, including members of the RCS “Life Safety”, take an active part in National and International conferences, Olympiads.
