At a meeting with students, the speakers discussed the current topic of ludomania among young people and society as a whole. They talked about various games that are enjoyed not only by young people, but also by people of mature age. Ludomania is a gambling addiction that has become increasingly widespread. Ludomania has now reached the 2nd place after alcoholism and drug addiction. 40% of divorces occur for this reason.
The guests shared their bitter experience, which is why they lost their families, time, and financial condition, where it is mythical – “I will win back my money from the casino today!”, will remain just a myth!
They also told the students in detail about the steps taken by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan to combat this disease. First of all, this is a ban on advertising bookmakers, sweepstakes and online casinos. The second is to raise the legal age for gambling to 25 years. It also provides for a ban on participation in the games for persons who are in the unified register of debtors, non-payers of alimony and persons who have overdue debts on bank loans.”
